Starfish Aquatics General Terms and Conditions

Bookings and enrolments are ongoing unless we are notified of any change required.

Payment options are upfront for the month or as agreed with management.

Reference: Use parent name or child’s name to ensure your funds are allocated to your account.

Fees must not be in arrears by more than 2 weeks. Lesson’s may be temporarily stopped until fees are up to date.

Family discounts are applicable from the 3rd child onwards.

Starfish will be closed Public Holidays and you will not be charged for these days.

If lessons are not attended for 3 weeks or more without notification and you cannot be contacted, you may lose your child’s class spot.

Please ensure that any special needs and/or medical conditions are clearly stated on the enrolment form.

Every swimmer including child and parent is required to wear a swim cap. The parent must also wear a T- Shirt. Swim caps may be purchased at the centre.

Babies/toddlers who are not toilet trained are required to wear an Aqua Nappy. Nappy pants are available for purchase at the centre.

If your child is unable to attend lessons, we would appreciate a phone call, a notification via your Customer Portal, email or Facebook message. A minimum of 1-hour notice is required.

Please do not bring your child to lessons if they have been unwell and could spread germs to teachers and other students in the pool.

If your child cannot continue with lessons for a minimum of 4 weeks due to a medical practitioner’s advice, you are required to submit this in writing in the form of a doctor’s certificate. A credit will be issued to your child’s family account for lessons missed.

If your child is going to be absent from swimming due to holiday commitments for a minimum of 4 weeks, a credit will be issued to the family account upon a signed letter from the parent or guardian.

Every swimmer and or parent must shower before entering the pool.

The parent/ guardian or care giver is responsible for the supervision of their child/children at all times while in the swim centre. The children are not allowed to enter the pool prior to a lesson e.g. sit on the steps or side of pool. Once the lesson commences the child is under the care of the Starfish Aquatics staff.

All parents/carers are required to remain at the centre for the duration of their child’s lesson. We ask that you please do not leave your child in the centre unsupervised.

Misconduct or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Make up policy eligibility:

A maximum of 1 makeups per month, per child.

Students that have their lesson fees up to date.

Have notified the swim school 1 hour prior to their lesson commencement.

If there is a class available for the level of the child.

Make up lessons to be taken within the next 4 weeks. Make up lessons will not rollover to the next term. (month to month)

Make up lessons are non-refundable.

It’s in your child’s best interest that absences are restricted to genuine illness’s / medical conditions. Consistency is the key to progression in the Learn to Swim environment.

Online Purchasing:

E-Gift Cards can only be redeemed at Starfish Aquatics. Cards can be used for any of our products or services but cannot be redeemed for cash. Cards are valid for 36 months from the date of issue or until a $0 balance is reached, whichever occurs first. Any balance remaining on the card after the expiry date is forfeited.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided by you in relation to your purchase is complete, accurate and current.

Your purchase becomes effective once you click 'pay' and reach the confirmation page.

Payments must be made on this site via PayPal.

All prices on this site are in Australian Dollars, are inclusive of GST (where applicable) and are subject to change, with or without notice.

Starfish Aquatics reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice.

These terms and conditions do not exclude or modify any consumer guarantees that are provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Starfish Aquatics therefore excludes itself from all liability (except from any liability that cannot be excluded by law), for damages (including, but not limited to) damages for any loss or personal injury, whether direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special or exemplary, as a result of the use (or inability to use) of our website, or any of our services.
